What’s New, August 12, 2014

Wow, has this summer been going sooooooo fast. It seems like the kids just got out of school and now we only have two more weeks of summer. What’s up with that?
We have had a good summer. The ministry definitely slows down during the summer months and without us having the longer tours, it allows us to have some really nice family time. We were very blessed to have just spent a few days on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. We didn’t take any calls, have anywhere that we had to be, we had no agenda and no performances to do for four days and it was GREAT!!!!! It was just time to focus on our family. It was a great blessing.
Now that the summer is starting to come to a close, things will start kicking into high gear here in the office and on the road and that’s good cause things are getting tight now on the financial side of things. As always, I ask you all to pray for this ministry as we deliver God’s love through the trumpet. Pray that God will give us a freshness, pray He will give us the energy, endurance and constant desire to serve all the people we come in contact with. Pray that we will be more effective then we ever have been with the Gospel and pray that God will continue to meet our needs that we will have nothing distracting us from doing what we have been called to do.

Thanks for checking in,

What’s New, July 9, 2014

July 4th came and went. It was a day of lots of food, fireworks and fun. It is a day to celebrate our countries independence. Both of my Grandfathers fought to help us keep that independence and so did a lot of other people. I am a VERY proud American and cannot think of any other country that I would want to live in. I do think that it is sad that a lot of people only think about our independence only once a year. So much sacrifice was made so we could be free.
As cool as our countries independence is, there is a greater independence that we have or can have that came with a HUGE cost. It’s our independence and forgiveness of our sins because of what Christ did for us on the cross.
God has blessed us so much with so many things, but His greatest gift to us was His Son, Jesus Christ. Christ came and lived a perfect life so he could be the perfect sacrifice for the things you and I do wrong in our lives every day. Because of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, we can be forgiven of our sins and have a promise to live with Him in Heaven for eternity, which is a much cooler place to live then even this country.
July 4th comes and goes every year. A lot of people remember their independence because of the flags, food, fireworks and much more, but when we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, we should not need anything to help remind us of what He did for us to give us our freedom from sin.
Do you need that freedom, do you want that promise that God gives us of spending eternity in Heaven, do you want your eternal independence in God? Then move your mouse over to “True Salvation is just a click and prayer away” which is in the right corner of this website and see how easy it is to begin a relationship with Christ today. It will be the greatest thing you’ll ever do in your life.

Thanks for your time,
Chiz

Six and a half more days and the kids are off of school for the summer. I am not sure if they are more excited or if Kelli and I are more excited. We are looking forward to a great summer. The ministry will slow down a bit and not have longer tours until September, but that doesn’t mean we will not be doing concerts. The summer is still full of lots of opportunities to come out and see us. Most of the next three months will be in PA which is nice for us.
I do enjoy the warmer weather, but really don’t enjoy sweating like a dog when I’m performing. I would rather be playing outside in a blizzard then being on stage in the sun. Those of you that play brass instruments know that it is VERY hard to play when your mouth piece is sliding all around your mouth and your sweat makes it very hard to get an air tight seal around your lips. All that said…..I like the summer, but I don’t enjoy the “heat” shows we sometimes have to do, and we definitely have a few of those coming up.
I just got an email a little bit ago that was very cool and a huge encouragement. It was from a missionary that is in Africa that has been there for several years and has had a very successful ministry leading people to the Lord. He shared a lot about his ministry and how God took his life and changed it totally around. He had been a heavy drug user and was stealing on a regular basis just to have enough money to support his habit. But that whole life came to a complete halt one night when God grabbed him and changed him. The encouraging part for us, besides the obvious, is that God grabbed this guy at one of our concerts. Now there is never a moment and there will never be a moment where I will take any credit for things like that, but it is very cool to hear stories like this and many more and see how God uses a simple piece of brass and a simple, sinful man like me to do things like this. That is cool!!!
As always, I want to thank you for checking in and keeping up with this ministry, and I want to encourage all of you to live the life that God wants you to live and be the example that you know He wants you to, because you never know when God will use you to change somebodies life.

There are moments in life where we all get so busy and at the end of that busy time, we have not gotten anything we wanted to done. The last month has been running around clearing out Dad’s house and storage places, little tours and trying to keep up with office things. But right now, I really feel behind with a lot I have to get done. I never want to be “that guy” that is always busy, so our whole family is looking forward to getting back to our normal schedule and getting focused back on this ministry.
As always, the summer slows down from the longer tours to just short tours and long weekend jumps around the country. I will say that being home and not out touring when the kids are off from school is very nice. So now that the summer is around the corner, we are all planning for a great summer together as a family.
Please continue to pray for this ministry that finances will get easier and that God will use 2014 as the biggest year in service to Him that we have ever had.
The pictures below are a few recent youth events that we did. Please continue to check out our schedule and when we are near to you, come out and see us. Thanks for the prayer and support.

Well, what can I say! The western tour was great. All of the concerts were good and God did some AWESOME things. Just in that 4 weeks on tour, we saw close to 200 dedicate their lives to Christ. That makes every mile and every second away from my family worth it. I feel so blessed to be a servant of God and to be used to further His Kingdom. All I really have to do some days, is stay out of Gods way and he does everything. I just never want to be in the way.

Usually when I get home, I try to take a few days off and spend time with Kelli and the Kids, but this time things were a little different. My father has been battling cancer for several years and took a turn for the worse during the tour. I was able to finish the tour and still have a few days with him before he passed. He passed just last night at 6:10pm. He now gets to hear what a real trumpet is suppose to sound like in heaven. He will be missed by all of us.
Please pray for our whole family as we remember all the good times we had together.

I am also excited to share that Kelli and I will be celebrating our 18th year anniversary tomorrow. We may not get the “date day” we want tomorrow, but you can bet that I will take her out to celebrate when things calm down around here. It is so cool to spend everyday of my life married to the most beautiful, loving girl in the world. God blessed me so much when He put us together.

Thanks for your time,

Chiz

The time has come for us to head west. I am leaving in a few days to do a great western tour. Kansas, Oregon, Arizona, Missouri and Nebraska are just some of the stops we will be making. There should be a lot of familiar faces we see on this tour, but also some new ones too.
Please pray for us while we are on this trip. Pray that God will use us in an awesome way to spread His love through the trumpet. Pray that there will be no problems so we can be focused on just what we are doing. We will be traveling over 7,200 miles and doing 28 shows in 23 days, so please pray for endurance and strength. There is always so much on a trip like this that can go wrong, but there is also so much on a trip like this that can go so right, and that’s what we are looking forward to.
I will be sure to update when I get back. If you are in any of these states, be sure to check out our schedule to see if we will be near you and then come out and see us.
Thank you for your time and prayers,

Chiz

I just got back from a tour down south that ended in Naples FL. I left there Sunday afternoon where the temperature was 84 and I was driving around with my windows down. Five hours later on that trip home, I still had the windows down but added a sweatshirt. Five hours from then….windows up, heat on and then by the time I got home, there was a thin layer of ice all over the truck and the temperature was 17.
I did enjoy the warmer weather for a few days but am glad to be home for a few days. Some tours are easy while some are very hard. This past tour was one of those that was very hard for several reasons, but God still did some awesome things and peoples lives were changed. It is so cool that even when I am not at my best, God is.
We have been getting a lot of calls and emails about our tour out west next month, so all of you guys out there; check out our schedule to see where we will be at and come out and see us.
Thanks for checking in,

Chiz

What’s New, January 2, 2014

What’s New November 5, 2013

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us am eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
I could have woke up this morning and been in a bad mood that I am not on the road today, I could complain about the smaller concert I had this weekend and how finances are always tight. But…I wont, because the person I work for could look at me and think much worse thoughts about what He sees in me. God is my boss, and I love working for him and serving Him in everything I do.
I will never have a ministry that will make much money. I will never fill arenas and stadiums and sell millions of CD’s and you know what….that’s ok, because I set my eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. Because everything that we see right now all around us, is temporary, but what we do for the Kingdom is eternal.
We have had a lot of good concerts lately, some big, some small, but God has shown up to everyone and lives have changed. That’s what it’s about.
It is not easy. I sometimes wish finances weren’t so tight, but God always provides.
We have started to add Christmas music to most of our concerts now, just one or two songs for now, but as soon as Thanksgiving is over, everything to the end of the year will be Christmas. Those concerts are a lot of fun, so be sure to check out our schedule and see if we are close to you and come out and celebrate Christ’s birth with us in some great big band Christmas tunes.

Thanks for checking in,

Chiz
